On 26 June 1980, I was born in Richmond, KZN to the late Rayman Naidoo and Anita Naidoo.
I grew up in a Christian home but I never followed Christ as the Bible required, and when I grew older, I got caught up with a lot of worldly activities.
Through it all, I always felt a tugging in my heart that I should commit my life to God, but I never really knew how to, because no sermon moved me to want to know God any more than I already did.
So instead, I enjoyed life as best as I could.
In August 1998, I attended a tent crusade meeting and it was at this crusade on 21 August 1998 when I first decided to surrender my life to Jesus Christ.
Following my surrender to Christ, I got baptised and as newly saved young adults, a group of us went into missionary work in Kokstad. There, we prayed for the sick and for those who were possessed by evil spirits.
However, by mid 1999, I went back to my old ways because I held on to my liking of girls. I secured employment at TDM (Pty) Ltd and during my employment years I started smoking cigarettes and partying because money wasn't an issue anymore.
In 2004, I had my first child out of wedlock and by 2005, I attempted to pursue a career in music. So I packed up and went to Johannesburg, after I secured employment at Heinemann Publishers in Sandton. At the time, I sang in a group with friends from my neighbourhood in Pietermaritzburg.
I ended up leaving work and pursued music fulltime as a vocalist for the band Obsession under the management of Michael Fresh. The music stint didn't last long and I ended up being unemployed and clinically depressed.
By 2006, I returned home to Pietermaritzburg while fighting depression and all the stress that one suffers with from being unemployed. By the grace of God, I beat depression and pursued a career in Occupational Health and Safety.
In January 2007, I started as a Junior Safety Officer for Basil Read (Pty) Ltd under the leadership of the late Ben Beyleveld. Our client team at the time was Mr. Fabian Buckley and Mr. Jacque Greeff and under the guidance and training of Ben, Fabian and Jacque, I managed to secure a Senior HSE Practitioner position for Murray and Roberts MEI by May 2007. From May 2007, my safety career grew and within a short while, I was already working in management positions.
I got married in November 2007.
All the while, I started to feel the tugging in my heart again to get saved, but the more I tried to recommit my life to God, the more I got frustrated because I just couldn't leave sinning. In fact, I got worse because I started experimenting with drugs and my partying got worse.
In May 2013, a church in Wentworth, held a week long revival campaign where different preachers shared the word of God. I told a friend that I am going to attend those meetings everyday because I am expecting a touch from God. I needed to turn my life around because it was a mess.
On 7 May 2013, a pastor preached a sermon on the anointing of God and he read from the book of Isaiah chapter 10 with the prominent verse being verse 27.
During altar call, I sat in my seat even though the sermon moved me. While seated, I felt myself being drawn to the front of the church and when I got to the front, I had my encounter with Jesus Christ and this is when I recommitted my life to him.
For the next few days, I spent my time reading the Bible and always praying because I just couldn't get enough of what I was feeling inside of me. By June, God delivered me from smoking cigarettes and I was a completely new person. The night after God delivered me from smoking, I saw a vision of Jesus Christ holding my hand while we were standing on a dusty road and immediately after seeing the vision, I felt myself being washed from the crown of my head to my feet, for about a week.
My love for God grew and by July 2013, I started preaching at a church in Pietermaritzburg.
On 18 August 2013, I preached a sermon titled "The spirit of compromise has entered the house of God" and little did I know that it would be my last time preaching and going to church for that season.
On 19 August 2013, I went to work as usual and that evening, I had a weird encounter with a stranger and after speaking to a few fellow believers about it, they encouraged my wife and I to pray over and anoint our home and yard, which we did.
We went to bed and during the night, I was awakened from my sleep and in the dead silence of the night, I heard a man's voice speak to me and tell me about my life and how he had watched over me from when I was a little boy. I knew it was the voice of God speaking to me audibly. I remember looking at my wife sleeping beside me and I wondered if she could hear this voice.
Apart from a few other things that God said to me that night, he told me:
to separate myself,
to sell my home and all that I owned,
to purchase a vehicle fit for my family and our clothing from the proceeds of the sale of our possessions,
to give the balance of all the money I had to the poor,
to come to Pietermaritzburg for further instruction,
to tell my wife and children to be obedient.
God also told me that he hates what has become of this world and that he wants to establish his word. He said that people will mock at me but that no harm would come to my door and; that he will bless those who bless me and he will curse those who curse me. I was told to read about Abraham and to read Luke chapter 18 KJV, as scriptural reference for my mission.
Much more was said which I won't divulge, and by morning, I told my wife what had happened and we started out on our mission. On 15 December 2013, we moved to Pietermaritzburg after following God's instructions, even though friends and family thought and said that we were mad. We were shunned by a lot of people, especially family, and not many supported us on our mission, just as God had said.
When we got to Pietermaritzburg, life wasn't easy for us but God kept us and took care of us. We had no home of our own to come to but God made a way for us to live. He taught me the word and the doctrine applicable to the church today. He guided me and instructed me according to his word.
On 9 December 2025 I was praying to God for direction like I have always been doing over the years and this time he told me to go back to church. This is after 12 years of not being in church. I remember asking him if he is sure and I asked him which church I should go to. He told me to go back to where it all started. His word to me was that it's the time for restoration and he told me to read Jeremiah 1 verse 9 and 10 KJV. On 11 December 2025 during prayer, God led me to Isaiah 61 verse 1 to 3 KJV and he gave me scriptural references regarding the restoration of the church.
On 15 December 2025, my family and I walked into church for the first time in 12 years. We haven't lost our salvation and we still love God as if we are newly saved.
On 22 January 2026, God told me to plant the church.
